ThinOptics Limited Warranty - Explained

Readers, Frontpage & Milano Warranty

BY USING A PRODUCT MANUFACTURED BY OR FOR THINOPTICS (A "PRODUCT") YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THE THINOPTICS INC. LIMITED WARRANTY (“WARRANTY”) AS SET OUT BELOW. DO NOT USE YOUR PRODUCT UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY, DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT AND RETURN IT TO US UNOPENED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE FOR A REFUND.

ThinOptics' obligations for the Product purchased by the end-user ("You") are limited to the terms set forth below:

30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not 100% happy with your ThinOptics product, you can return the product within 30 days (from the date of purchase) for a refund or exchange. Exchange will be of equal value to the original order. Replacements within 30 days of purchase will be shipped at no cost to the customer. Any costs associated with returns are the responsibility of the customer.

To request a replacement within the 30 Day Warranty, the following is required:

  1. Proof of purchase required if purchased outside of our ThinOptics website
  2. Registration of product is required. Registration can be completed at https://www.thinoptics.com/Register.
  3. Photo of defect and/or breakage is required.

90 Day Warranty

ThinOptics products are warranted to the purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover defects or damage due to improper use, alteration, installation, accident (including lost or scratched product) or any other event beyond the control of the manufacturer. Defect or damage resulting from misuse, abuse or negligence will void this warranty. This warranty does not cover scratches or damage that may result from normal usage.

This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of the defective product. This means that we will replace the same color and strength as purchased only. No substitutions for color or strength will be granted under warranty claims unless by manufacturer. During the 90 Day warranty period, ThinOptics will replace defective product for a small processing fee (see below).

This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including past warranties.

All warranty claims must be made through ThinOptics. If you did not purchase your product directly with ThinOptics, you must return to the place of purchase for warranty claims. ("90 Day Warranty").

SUNS Warranty

90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee

To request a replacement within the 90 Day Warranty, the following is required:

  2. Registration of product is required. Registration can be completed at https://www.thinoptics.com/Register.
  3. Photo of defect and/or breakage is required.ThinOptics may request the return of the defective product on a case by case basis.

1 year limited warranty

ThinOptics SUNS are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and/or workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, alteration, accident or loss. Damage resulting from misuse, abuse or negligence will void the warranty. This warranty does not cover scratched lenses.

This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of the defective product and no substitutions for color or strength will be granted under warranty claims. During the 1 year warranty period, ThinOptics will replace defective product for a small processing fee (see below).

To request a replacement within the 1 year Warranty, the following is required:

Extended Replacement Guarantee - ThinOptics Readers GLASSES only

(NOTE: ONLY ThinOptics Readers Glasses are eligible for extended warranty)

Customers who purchase ThinOptics Readers Glasses directly from ThinOptics or from an authorized retail outlet/dealer and register within the specified time are covered by a Limited Replacement Guarantee that extends the 90 Day Warranty covering your glasses.

**Processing fee is applied for replacements outside of the 90 Day Warranty.

Replacements are limited to one (1) pair every six months. (Exceptions may apply for multiple orders, additional processing fees of $2.50 will apply per pair after the first pair)

To request a replacement outside the 90 Day Warranty, the following is required:

  1. Proof of purchase required if purchased outside of our ThinOptics website
  2. Registration of product is required. Registration can be completed at https://www.thinoptics.com/Register.
  3. Photo of defect and/or breakage is required.

Exclusions and limitations

Except as expressly set forth in this Warranty, ThinOptics, in so far as permitted by law, provides their Products "as is". ThinOptics is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to use of the Product.

This Warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with another product; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse or misuse, including, but not limited to, scratches and broken lenses; or (c) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Product.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. ThinOptics’ responsibility for defects is limited to replacement service as determined by ThinOptics in its sole discretion.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, OR WARRANTIES. THINOPTICS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, NON-INTERFERENCE, OR ACCURACY, OR ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE PRACTICE, TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

To the extent an implied warranty cannot be excluded, such warranty is limited in duration to the period set forth above. No warranties, whether express or implied, will apply after the expiration of the applicable warranty period. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. No ThinOptics dealer, distributor, reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.

THINOPTICS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, OR COMMERCIAL LOSS EVEN IF THINOPTICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

ThinOptics may restrict service to the fifty states of the United States of America and the District of Columbia.

ThinOptics reserves the right to refuse service to any customer that is using abusive language or actions toward any ThinOptics employee.

In accordance with applicable law, ThinOptics may require that you furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service.

Note that in the European Union, any warranty period less than two years shall be increased to two years.
