ThinOptics Suns and SHADO Eyewear sunglasses are, when purchased from our site or an authorized retailer, covered under a Limited Two-Year Warranty. We also guarantee your purchase with a 30-day money back guarantee in the event you are not completely satisfied.

30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may request an exchange within 30 days from the date of purchase. ThinOptics and SHADO Eyewear will strive to find the best solution for you.

The exchange must be of equal value to the original purchase.

To request an exchange or refund:

  1. Contact ThinOptics/SHADO Eyewear Warranty Department:
  2. Refunds will be issued for the cost of the product.
    • Shipping fees are non-refundable (some exceptions apply).
  3. Customers will be allowed one exchange of equal or lesser value per purchase.
  4. Replacement products/orders are not covered under warranty
  5. Provide a reason for exchange:
    • Requests due to breakage/defects will be validated via photograph/video
    • Return to be validated prior to refund/exchange
  6. Returns requested due to preference will be at customer’s expense
  7. Shipping and handling charges may apply, except where applicable by law

2 Year Satisfaction Guarantee

ThinOptics Suns and SHADO Eyewear are warranted against manufacturer’s defect for two years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase from original manufacturer or authorized retailer is required.

**Manufacturer defects include non-functional hinges, mounts and missing pieces

ThinOptics and SHADO warranty does not cover scratched lenses, damage from normal wear and tear or damage from pets, vehicles and/or general negligence. Lost or stolen glasses are not covered.

**Normal wear and tear includes scratches on lenses, bent frames and other issues that may arise from insertion of glasses into the case repeatedly.

Any alterations to the ThinOptics or SHADO product will void warranty coverage.

We reserve the right to approve/deny claims based on circumstances, etc.

This limited warranty does not cover improper or unreasonable use, normal wear and tear, scratched lenses, lost screws, or accidental damage.

Exclusions and limitations

Except as expressly set forth in this Warranty, ThinOptics and SHADO Eyewear, in so far as permitted by law, provides their Products "as is". ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear are not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to use of the Product.

This Warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with another product; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse or misuse, including, but not limited to, scratches and broken lenses; or (c) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Product.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear's responsibility for defects is limited to replacement service as determined by ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear in its sole discretion.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, OR WARRANTIES. THINOPTICS and/or SHADO EYEWEAR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, NON-INTERFERENCE, OR ACCURACY, OR ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE PRACTICE, TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

To the extent an implied warranty cannot be excluded, such warranty is limited in duration to the period set forth above. No warranties, whether express or implied, will apply after the expiration of the applicable warranty period. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. No ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear dealer, distributor, reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.

THINOPTICS and/or SHADO EYEWEAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, OR COMMERCIAL LOSS EVEN IF THINOPTICS and/or SHADO EYEWEAR HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear may restrict service to the fifty states of the United States of America and the District of Columbia.

ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear reserve the right to refuse service to any customer that is using abusive language or actions toward any ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear employee.

In accordance with applicable law, ThinOptics and/or SHADO Eyewear may require that you furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service.

Note that in the European Union, any warranty period less than two years shall be increased to two years.
