I've been enjoying ThinOptics Readers for several years--but was especially delighted when you began selling the scratchproof readers recently. All of my Readers were scratched, mostly from the MagSafe case (whatever you call it officially) that I've had on my iPhone. It's a great idea; but the Readers are forever working out of the case when it (and the phone) is in my pocket. That's when I jumped on the new scratchproof Readers.

It's also when I decided to improve my magnetic case by narrowing the opening slightly. See the tape in the photo. What you can't see is the little pieces of tape stuck to the middle of the sticky side so the Readers won't stick to the tape. The Readers in that shot are as far out as they will go now--but there's still enough room for me to pull them out with a finger. They just don't come out by accident and get scratched.

So my suggestion is to modify all new cases accordingly: just make the opening about 15 mm narrower (7 or 8 mm on each end).

If you DO it, please send me a couple more Readers, one 1.5 and the other 2. They're terrific!
I really like these but only giving three stars because if you get the colored ones be aware that the color comes off easily just by taking them in and out of the provided case. I alerted the company to this via an email saying I wasn’t looking for anything except for them to be aware of this issue. They sent me a free replacement pair,
which was much appreciated, but the minute I put them in the case and took them out,
the colored finish was again coming off. If I order again, I will just stick with the clear.
When I leave the house I only want to have to remember three things that fit in my pockets - keys, wallet and phone. The thought of having to carry glasses with me for moments when I need them was too much! I use thin optics with the case on the back of my phone and could not be happier. Everybody I show them to is amazed and think they're the greatest invention they have seen. If I could buy stock in ThinOptics I would! Truly innovative and can't ever see not having them with me.
