What makes these reading glasses different from standard readers?
What makes these reading glasses different from standard readers?
ThinOptics readers are under 2mm thin and weigh less than a nickel, made from shatterproof optical-grade polycarbonate with a nitinol bridge that is 10x more elastic than spring steel. Unlike standard readers, every pair comes with a dedicated carry system so they attach to your keychain, phone, or wallet and stay with you at all times.

What is the difference between the Reader + Keychain Case, Armless Reader, and Reader + MagSafe Case?
The Reader + Keychain Case includes full-frame readers stored in a pod that clips onto your keys. The Armless Reader is a temple-free design that folds to a smaller footprint, ideal for the most compact carry. The Reader + MagSafe Case pairs full-frame readers with a pod that attaches magnetically to MagSafe-compatible iPhones.
What reading strengths are available?
What reading strengths are available?
These readers are available in four strengths: +1.00, +1.50, +2.00, and +2.50, covering near-vision needs from +0.75 up to +2.75. Each strength has a tolerance of +/- 0.25 diopters, so most people find a suitable match within the range.
Will these reading glasses fit my nose?
Will these reading glasses fit my nose?
The frames are designed to fit the vast majority of nose shapes. They can be positioned higher on the nose bridge for a standard fit, or lower toward the nostrils for flatter or smaller bridges. The nose pad angles and widths were tested across hundreds of combinations to work for most people.
Are these reading glasses durable enough for everyday carry?
Are these reading glasses durable enough for everyday carry?
Yes. The lenses are made from thermo-injection molded optical-grade polycarbonate, the same material used in high-end prescription eyewear and safety glasses. The bridge uses nitinol, a shape-memory alloy that bends under pressure and returns to its original shape, eliminating the fragile hinges that break on standard frames. The glasses are designed to withstand being sat on, stored loose in a pocket, kept in a case or carried on a keychain daily.
